Welcome!
Welcome to room 107. What a great first week! We had a lot of fun meeting new friends. We read some awesome books about the first day of school and good manners including Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten, The Kissing Hand, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and Please Mr. Panda. We sang the alphabet song and the days of the week song. We worked on reading & writing our names. We had fun making our names with the iPad and ripping and gluing paper! A favorite classroom activity is definitely using the Smartboard!
Looking good!
Nice tie, Max!
Say Cheese!
All smiles in Kindergarten!
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom...
...Stella's in our room!
Read Every Day!
Reading Logs
QCSD students are required to read at least 25 books each year. In kindergarten we count books that parents read to their children. I sent home the September log earlier this week, and will be sending home a summer log today so that we can count your summer reading as well! There are 5 lines, but you can add more titles on the back. Reading to your child is one of the most important things you can do to prepare your child to read.

School News
Back-To-School Night is a night for parents to come to learn about the classroom rules, curriculum, and procedures. I will be presenting information that is not really relevant to children. This is a great night for the kids to go to a friend's house or to visit their grandparents. More information about this night will be coming soon.
