Financial Aid/FAFSA
On November 1st, in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance, Port Barre High School hosted a Financial Aid/FAFSA informational session. Brandi Morrison, LOSFA representative, shared information with parents and students about types of financial aid available for students to further their educational studies after graduation. Mrs. Morrison discussed TOPS, Tops Tech, Pell grants, student and parent loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) as well as scholarships and other programs available to students. Students and parents were reminded that 2018 Graduates MUST complete the FAFSA or a Parental Nonparticipation Form in order to receive his/her diploma. An overview of the FAFSA application as well as FAFSA completion was given followed by a question and answer session.
