Andrew Jackson was a war hero for the battle of new Orleans. He was a strong and smart general, that led his troops into victory in December 1814.
Reason 2 " common man "
Andrew was pretty much like everyone else in the south at this time. He represented a common man so this means he liked power to the people. And tried to do things for the poor to moderate class people cause that's how he grew up.
Reason 3 "changed presidential campaigning
He was holding parades and ceremony to collect and gather the people, and mainly to grow in support. Following up with laws it encouraged a lot of new people to vote and in his case helped him a lot.
