SMART Technology VP to visit Serna ES Library

On Monday, February 1,Tim Toyoshima, VP of Software Developing for SMART Technology will observe an ELA lesson with 2nd-grade students taught by Stacey Gleinser. She will be using the SMART Response app.

Tim would like to see innovative ways SMART is being used throughout NEISD and Stacey, is a great example of someone who uses SMART in several different ways.

African American History Month- Curated OverDrive Collection

Check out the curated African American History collection in OverDrive (see Collections drop down menu). Titles include books by African American authors and illustrators, historical fiction selections, biographies and more! This special collection will be available during the month of February.

Creating Folders to Promote National Geographic Kids Digital Books & Magazines

Making eBooks and other digital resources more visible promotes access and increased usage. Please find directions for creating folders to showcase TexQuest’s National Geographic Kids resources: Directions for Creating Folders / NatGeoKids

The directions include links and QR codes for sample titles ranging from pre-reader to early middle school.
