Peek At The Week
May 5, 2019
THIS WEEK IS TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK! Be Ready to be AMAZED!!
Team,
We are coming into our final week for review of content for STAAR Testing. Continue to work with our students on GOAL SETTING. Remaining consistent with expectations will help with behaviors and provide the structure necessary for the month of May. EXPECT the Hallway CHAMPS...Classroom CHAMPS (all of them) and the school wide attention getter and the last month of school will go more smoothly. All it takes for this NOT to work is one adult on campus to not hold students accountable and it affects us all. One Team, One Focus....please stay consistent in your expectations campus wide.
On Monday, Science will finish our Boot Camp in the morning with Group 1. Please take attendance, wait for the announcement and send the students to the cafeteria. ELAR and Math have intervention this last week. Remember to look at the lists and send the students in a timely manner. This is the last week for this type of remediation.
A big Shout Out goes to our Math Team as Algebra takes their EOC on Tuesday this week! Continue to encourage these 8th graders as they take their first End of Course Exam for High School credit. Here are some logistics for that day... The ancillary hallway off the 6th grade classrooms is where Algebra 1 will be testing. The 6th graders will travel to the 8th grade hall to use the restrooms. The library will be closed until after noon.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, our Social Studies Boot Camp will be taking place in the cafeteria for the 8th graders. Not all 8th graders will be attending. Please look at the Science and SS Boot Camp lists to see who will be attending.
As always, Teach Happy!
