Dealey Dragon Update
November 2016
Message from the Principal
Lots of exciting things are happening at Dealey. Our students and teachers have been busy participating in many extra-curricular events and competitions. See below for pics and other news about these events.
The 3rd six weeks begins on Nov. 7th. Our students will be taking the district ACPs at the end of this six weeks period, just before Winter Break. I will include a schedule of those assessments in the next monthly newsletter. Just as last year, the assessments will be administered each morning and students will return to their normal schedule once they are completed.
In closing, I want to give you a heads-up that Dealey will be a polling site for the November 8th elections. I'm sure morning and afternoon carpool will be even more congested with the traffic from our community members. As a staff, we have discussed ways to be more vigilant about monitoring our students on this day. Thank you in advance for your patience and support regarding this matter. I will be in Washington, D.C. for the Blue Ribbon Awards Ceremony on this date.
I hope everyone enjoys their full week off for Thanksgiving Break this year!!
Thanks for all you do!
Sincerely,
Beverly Lusk
Principal
