Falcon Ridge Family Updates

December 13, 2021

News and Tidbits

Hello Families,

I hope you are having a wonderful December as we start the Christmas season!

Need some activity ideas for Christmas break? Check out this flyer for STEM projects, videos, and scavenger hunts.

Our character trait this month is compassion, which means a deep awareness of, and sympathy for, another’s suffering. We will focus on demonstrating compassion for others this month as we continue focusing on character development at Falcon Ridge. Students can earn Falcon Cards when they are "caught" being compassionate to others.

Please note that the lottery opened on December 10th for all new students (even if there is already a sibling attending Falcon Ridge).

The Falcon Ridge student council is hosting a Christmas spirit week starting tomorrow. Please check out this newsletter for the details.

Have a fantastic week!

For Mr. Wagner

Many of you have asked for tangible ways to help Mr. Wagner. He is our music teacher and also the music director at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, and they have shared a way in which we can help. There is an account set up for Mr. Wagner at his church. The address is:
  • 3100 S. Five Mile Road Boise, ID 83709

If anyone wants to contribute, we should put a notation on a check that is for Paul Wagner.

From the Counselor

Hello Falcon Family,

In the true spirit of Christmas, Santa’s Little Helpers has organized an Amazon Registry to bring Christmas to families who may benefit from having a little Falcon Ridge love. Nothing brings me more joy than watching closely as the items disappear after purchase from the list.

Taking just one item off the list can bring Christmas morning smiles to our young ones and teens alike! What I love most about this Wish List is that each person donates anonymously. No one knows if you bought the $5 stocking stuffer or the $50 sweater. There is an item for every budget. You can even contribute towards the purchase of an item that may cost a little more than you want to spend. The reward is the spirit of giving. Even the smallest item can bring a smile to a child. So many of you help our community in so many ways. Keep giving how you normally do!

If you would prefer to provide in another way, like gift cards, or stocking stuffers, please reach out to me. We hope you find something in your budget!

Below is the link to the Amazon Santa list:

Please have the items brought to the school no later than Tuesday December 14th, so that the families have time to pick them up. If you choose to wrap them, please label the item, so that I can place them with the correct family.

Example: Group “A” Blue shoes

If you would prefer to have the item shipped directly to the school, the address is below:

Thank you again, for your generous heart, and the value of giving you are teaching your children.
