Nick Graves

Who, What, When, Where, Why

On September 11, 2001, 19 Islamic extremists with al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. The attacks was just the start of an all out war between the U.S and Al-Qaeda. With such a traumatic event the media and the people of American questioned how this was even possible and some thought it was either an accident, a terrorist attack, or all a fake.

Fox News coverage of the 9/11 attacks (First reports)

The Muslim People After 9/11

After 9/11 many Muslim-Americans felt hated by everyone and would get portrayed as terrorists. Although most of the media tried no to show them as bad people but more as innocent people in the same religion as other people who wanted to kill Americans. at the time most Americans were scared and needed some one to blame, so they through all the shame to one religion. The media showed anti-Muslim riots and people violently protesting for the ban of Muslims in their country. also new movies post 9/11 show many Muslims worshiping the hatred of american, and other movies with american soldiers killing Muslims, this makes the viewers think the hatred of Muslims is American.

It Is All A Fake.

Media is more than just what you see on the news, there are also thousands of websites and youtube is a huge component in that. Soon after 9/11 many people brought about the idea that it was all a conspiracy our on U.S. government set out. There is countless evidence all over the internet with many people explaining why and how such a thing could have happened. when you look deep into there are some questionable things that happened on 9/11. first being that how the towers fell looked like a demolition, stocks betting that theses flight stocks would crash rose significantly days before, and the fact that building 7 fell hours after the twin towers due to fire when the entire building was made of steel. Although it does not make since why the U.S. government would do such a horrific thing to their own people, many think it was a way for them to have more acceptance to start a was in the middle east.

Media Bias Explained

the media can change the way you view something just by the attitude they have toward a subject. if they feel that a particular race should be hated for something only a small amount of their people have done, they can make it out to look like the entire race is against us. also if some people see an event as a conspiracy it can easily be spread through websites like YouTube and get to all of the world in seconds. social media plays a huge part in what we know and can find out today.

Anti-Islamic Racism

Still today many people are racist toward Islamic people and criticism them based of a lot of reasons. most people view Muslims as being violent, terrorist that only want to kill Americans, when in reality islam is derived from the Arabic root "Salema": peace, purity, submission and obedience.

Criticism of The United States Government

all over the U.S thousands of people do not trust the government, and for a lot of different reasons. many people believe that the government is out to control us and just use us to make money for themselves, there are a lot of different conspiracy theories that people think that government has set up to hid things from their people because of the distrust they have seen from them before.
