Thank you for making our Summer Reading Program a big success!
The Springville Public Library has just concluded our first Summer Reading program since we opened our new Children's Library Annex. The response was fantastic. We registered 358 readers, pre-school through 9th grade. Readers began recording their reading on June 1st, when we had our Summer Reading kickoff with McWane Science Center at the Springville Farmer's Market. Prizes for all readers and grand prizes for top readers in each category were awarded at our Summer Reading Celebration at Springville First United Methodist Church on July 13th.
The Springville Public Library staff would like to thank our sponsors Walmart, McDonalds, Zaxby's, Waffle House, Spare Time, and McWane Science Center. We would also like to thank the City of Springville and Springville First United Methodist Church for hosting our large group events. We are grateful to our team of Summer Reading Volunteers and all the talented individuals and local businesses who made our programs possible.
Congratulations to our Grand Prize Winners:
Read to Me (4K and younger) - Dean Finch
Read with Me (K-1st grade) - Maggie Bailey
Early Readers (2nd-3rd grade) - Elijah Hurd
Intermediate Readers (4th-6th grade) - Gavin Hanner
Middle School Readers (7th-9th) - Granger Heckler
