With four days of the quarter left, students still have the chance to focus and finish strong. Please encourage your student to check for items they did not complete or turn in. We encourage parents/guardians to set up Canvas observer accounts. This will allow you to look for missing work in real-time as well as see teacher notes and the assignments which are complete. Some settings can also alert you to missing assignments or if the grade drops below a threshold.

Please plan to do your picture re-takes on Oct. 19th if you missed the first round of pictures or want a re-do. Photos will be taken on the stage during lunches.

The quarter is quickly coming to an end. Students have the opportunity to work hard and finish strong these next three weeks. Please note Oct. 21st is an in-service day for teachers to finish grading and prepare for second quarter fun and learning.

Dear Parents and/or Guardians:

Parent/Teacher Conferences are on WED 10/26, 12:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and THU 10/27, 12: 15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. By clicking on the above link you can schedule your Romig MS student(s) conference with their primary team (science). Follow the process instructions to book the conference that best suits your family's schedule on either of the two days. Please know that your booking time is when your conferences will start but you are welcome to visit with all of your student's teachers.

Parent/Teachers Conferences are a valuable tool in the education of every child that attends. Romig teachers would like to chat about important information that will help the student this school year. Active participation of parents and guardians is essential! Communication between the home and school is one of the best ways to ensure that a child’s school experience is successful. EARLY RELEASE ON CONFERENCE DAYS: Romig MS students will be released on WED 10/26 and THU 10/27 at 11:45 a.m. Romig MS will reopen the building at 12:10 p.m. On WED 10/26 teachers and staff will take a break from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. as no conferences will be scheduled during that time. Students may NOT stay after school on those days and should be picked up by noon. All after-school activities are canceled.

TEACHER IN-SERVICE DAY(S): There will be no school for all ASD students on FRI 10/21 and again on FRI 10/28. Sports practice and other school activities will not take place on either In-Service Day as well.

We highly encourage all Romg MS parents and/or guardians to make Parent/Teacher Conferences a priority on the two days provided.

Teachers will be training and students have the day off on Oct. 28th.

Nov 8th is an asynchronous day for learning. Students will have assignments to work on but they will not be zooming with teachers. Staff will be in the schools in training.

Nov. 11th is an in-service day and teachers will be training at different locations all over ASD.
