Restorative Circles at SRES
Ever heard a staff member say, we had a Restorative Circle with the students? Restorative Circles build community, develop social emotional skills, and restores relationships. Restorative Circles are used when wrongdoing or conflict have occurred. The goal of the circle is to restore the relationship. This does not mean that what happens goes away or there are no consequences, but there is a chance for everyone to share together why we did what we did, how it made us feel, and how to move forward. During a Circle, an "informal" plan may also be put in place going forward to prevent further conflict or wrongdoing. Restorative Circles can be between a small group of adults and students or take place with the full class. Restorative Circles are used on a daily basis in the classroom and building to talk through conflict.

Student Illness
If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or above, your child must stay home for 24 hours after the fever has subsided without the use of medication to reduce the fever. Having a fever indicates that a child is infectious. This will enable your child to remain healthier at school as well as the other students in their classroom. In addition, if your child is vomiting or has diarrhea, we encourage your child to remain at home for 24 hours after symptoms have subsided. For conjunctivitis (pinkeye), impetigo, or strep throat, the guidelines include 24 hours of antibiotic treatment prior to re-entering school. If a student is sent home from school by the school nurse, the student will be given a notice with information on when he/she can return to school. This note will excuse the time missed from school only for the specific dates listed. Any additional days absent will require a signed doctor or parent note.
Transportation Update
If you would like to confirm your child's transportation information, please log onto our district's website and click on the Transportation Department. Full details on our bussing and how to check student specific routes and stop times are available.

Attendance (HB410)
Students who arrive to school after 8:10 am are considered tardy. Those students will need to be brought into the office through the main front doors by a parent/guardian and signed in.
