FEBRUARY 2024
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
February is Black History Month, a time to celebrate and reflect on the rich history, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals and communities. The 2024 theme for Black History Month in Canada is: “Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build”. Let's honour this month by acknowledging the past, embracing the present, and inspiring the future.
The school value we are focusing on this month is Respect. We will run different activities in the school to celebrate and learn more about Black History Month as well as promote respect amongst each other to continue to establish a safe and caring school environment.

S.E.E.D PROGRAM AND LUNCH NEWS
Registration for the next school year will begin Mid-May to June.
The deadline for our next two Ped Days has past and registration is complete. Please make sure to have the forms in by end of day on the due date. Forms sent in the evening of the due date might not be accepted.
Early reminder: the March 18th Ped day Daycare is closed for professional development.
February statements have been sent out and accounts are now due. Please note daycare users with 2 months outstanding risk losing the services.
Daycare users must have account in good standing to attend the Ped Days.
Your failure to pay creates a serious financial difficulty for the lunch program and school. The lunch program is a self-financing program. It is the legal responsibility of each parent to pay the lunch fee for their child /children. Failure to have accounts in good standing risk losing different services. Please contact Mrs. Durand, or Mrs. Hammock if there is a situation that precludes your being able to pay the arrears.
Thank you and have a lovely February!
