Boosterthon Bright Lights
Have you been to funrun.com? Thank you!
Our Teachers Received Grants
These teachers, from the left, Mrs. Shaffer (5K), Mrs. Venti, (Gr. 1), Ms. Schwartz (gr. 2), and Mrs. Budzien,( gr. 1), along with Mr. Delsman (MEEMIC Rep) received grants from a foundation to provide additional learning materials for their classrooms. Yea teachers! They are wearing their Boosterthon t-shirt too on our kick off day!
We are off and running, not literally yet!
The funrun.com Boosterthon is underway and our first week has been a real success and I am so grateful for the amount of participation we have in our school. The pics below are from the kick-off assembly this past Tuesday. Lots of fun and teamwork!
Can't do it without our teachers!
Celebrate good times, c'mon on!
Getting ready for the assembly!
October Assembly-these children are special!
The focus of the assembly was to be the best you can be and ways to help others be their best as well. It was a review of how we can live with energy and kindness at school. We had a special visit from Kid President (via Youtube)to share the 20 things we can say that will make our school/world better. I hope you enjoy the pics courtesy of Megan Spindler.

A coronation in 4K
Our Boosterthon fundraiser had some special moments, but not as special as when this 4K boy was crowned during their kickoff assembly in their classroom. The Boosterthon team came into our 4K AM sessions for their own assembly since the rest of the school was in the PM. Our Boosterthon PTO coordinator, Mary Tylke, is in the background.

Nothing like a walking fieldtrip to downtown Merton
Our 4Kers put on their travelling shoes to visit our local post office. it is great to know our little ones are learning about the post office and how letters work. The children had a wonderful time.

As I spoke with the students at the assembly, I put up this slide to help them know what they mean to our entire staff. I really like the message and we pledge to live this every day.
