Principal's Message....

Dear Hollow Hills Families:

Keeping this week's message short and sweet. This week, I am looking forward to the Book Fair going on in the MPR. I hope to see many of you at Books and Breakfast on Wednesday morning and/or Books and Snacks on Thursday evening. I still remember the joy of picking out books at the Book Fair from my own elementary school days as well as going to the Book Fair events with my children. There is something sweet about a school Book Fair and I hope you can make memories with your children at our Hollow Hills Book Fair this week.

As a reminder, the PTA Membership Drive is still going. Our amazing Hollow Hills PTA is an integral part of our Golden Bear community. I truly appreciate your membership, time, and the care you give to all of our students.

Thank you,

Heather Godfrey

Principal, Hollow Hills Fundamental School

Reflections - "Show Your Voice....."

The National PTA Reflections art contest theme for this 2022–2023 school year is “Show your voice....” Ask your student what they think of the theme and how they can express it through art. There are six categories to choose from: film production, photography, dance choreography, music composition, literature, and visual arts. Students may submit 1 entry per category.

All entries must be turned in no later than October 3rd, 2022. Entries may be turned in anytime before October 3rd. Email your submission as an attachment or photograph(s) along with a completed entry form, which is included at the end of this post, to hollowhills.reflections@gmail.com. Please DO NOT forget to have your student write an artist statement explaining their work. This holds the utmost importance of the entry. There will be prizes for winning entries at each level of competition (school, school district, California region, California state, and national).

Because the program is designed to encourage and recognize each student’s individual creativity, help from an adult or collaboration with other students is not allowed except in the Special Artist Division.

If you have any questions or if you would like to be a Reflections judge for our school, please feel free to contact Reflections Chairperson Paola Dela Cruz-Galvez at hollowhills.reflections@gmail.com or call/text at 805-428-6782.

The PTA can’t wait to see everyone's masterpiece!
