December's Staff Spotlight ⭐
Each month, Dr. Foley and Mrs. Whitcraft spotlight an employee who has gone above to assist everyone, is kind, and make our lives brighter!
Alicia Umbra: Main Office Secretary, Broad Street- Alicia is the calm in the storm of the holiday season in the office. She organizes all of the holiday festivals, handles the signing in and out from the holiday concert, and generally is the person who keeps the office running smoothly and organized for all the staff.
DJ Haney: Band Director-Mr. Haney's contributions for our District was on full display during the holiday season as he and his students provide the soundtrack to our holiday season and the “pep” to our student/staff volleyball game. The countless hours planning, practicing, and performing are worth every minute when you see DJ Haney and his band of all-stars at the Christmas show or playing during our game.
Thank you, and congratulations to you both for being our December Staff Spotlight!!
🏐NMS Annual Student/Faculty Volleyball Game!
In December, NMS students and staff came together for a friendly, yet competitive, volleyball game. The first two games, NMS staff won against 6th & 7th grade. 8th graders then overcame and won the 3rd game! Thank you, Mr. Keane for putting this awesome event together! It was a fantastic and fun day for all!
🌷Planting for the Future 🌷
Our 6th grade came together earlier this fall to plant tulips. The idea behind this activity, is that our new incoming students are laying the foundation for the beginning of their new academic adventure in middle school. This team effort will show its beauty this spring down the entranceway of NMS.
