Central Bucks West Science Research Club
Central Bucks West Science Research Club Members were enormously successful at the prestigious Delaware Valley Science Fair (DVSF) this year. Members earned 38 awards and no less than $200,000 in cash, prizes, and scholarship offers. Out of hundreds and hundreds of competitors from schools in 19 counties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, 12 students are selected to represent the region at the international level in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). This year, two students from West have received that coveted invitation! They will receive all-expense-paid trips (approximate value $1,500 each) to the event which will occur in Pittsburgh on May 10-15. Both students were recognized as the second-best project in the fair for their grade level. They are:

The Central Bucks High School West Rubik's Cube Club will be hosting an official speed-solving competition sanctioned by the World Cube Association on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at Central Bucks West High School. On site (late) registration opens at 8:00 AM. All of the proceeds from the competition will be donated to A Woman's Place. Any experience level solvers are welcome to compete.

CB West Students Collaborate.....
French 4 Honors/Art 2-3 Impressionism Painting Collaboration
Mrs. Sarah Brookshaw’s French 4 Honors students joined Mrs. Allison Levin’s Art 2 and 3 students in a collaboration of Impressionistic masterpieces! The classes visited the Michener Museum of art to view the Bucks County Impressionism exhibit and worked collaboratively to create their own acrylic paintings. Students worked in beautiful harmony studying and learning the artistic techniques from this influential time in art history!

CB West is Proud!
A Planetarium Experience.....
On Friday, April 10, the CBW Jazz Ensemble performed alongside select CBW Choirs at the world-famous Fels Planetarium at the Franklin Institute. The performance was held inside the planetarium and, the planetarium technicians created special 12-15 minute versions of the traditional shows to feature throughout the evening. A wide range of spacey repertoire, composed by Craig Hendrix (CB West Class of 1999), Matthew Samson (CB West Class of 2006), David Samson (CB West Class of 2014), Ola Gjeilo, Timothy Mahr, Steve Wiest, Eriks Esenvalds, and many more were enjoyed by all.
