  • Hearing Screening letters are going home this week. Please fill out the reply slip and return with payment by Wednesday 1 November if you would like your child to attend the Hearing Screening. Any questions, contact Irene teRaa at iteraa@ichkhly.edu.hk

Learning engagements:

Creating own monster story using stimulus of ‘The Gruffalo’ and ‘Monster Goes to the Beach’. Focus on creating a story with beginning, middle and end.

English

Reading:

  • Gorilla by Anthony Browne.


Writing:

  • Focus on adjectives and sequencing.


Phonics:

  • Get Reading Right ‘Synthetic Phonics’ Book 2

  • Unit 1 Phonemes and Camera words.

  • Camera words:- ‘one some want many love has’.

Maths

Strand: Number


Learning engagements:

  • Differentiated Number problems involving addition within 10, 20 and 100. Use of number line to 20 and 100 square.
  • Mental maths work on 5’s and 10’s.
  • Count on, count back, more than less than a given number.
