Virtual Senior Walk
We are hoping Former Dolphins who are graduating high school seniors can join us virtually for Dryden's Senior Walk this year! Our staff is eagerly looking forward to congratulating our high school seniors on their upcoming graduation as well as sharing many fond memories of our time at Dryden. We also believe the 2020 high school graduates will be inspirational to our current students. Please join us for a walk down memory lane and share your future aspirations via Flipgrid. We would love it if you could share a photo of when you were at Dryden as well as wear your graduation cap and future college or career attire, but it's not required.
Please share your name and email on the form linked here and the link and password to our Virtual Senior Walk Flipgrid will be sent to you. Submissions will be approved by Dryden Staff before they are posted. We look forward to seeing and hearing from our high school seniors soon. Thank you!

Teacher Appreciation Week is Coming!
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8 so Dryden PTA, Mrs. Sessler and Mrs. Beane are inviting you to share your appreciation for our amazing, dedicated teachers in this week's all-school Flipgrid! Our staff is working harder than ever. They care so much about our students' well-being and their learning. Your responses on this Flipgrid will be seen by all Dryden staff so this is the place where you can share artwork, letters and comments like "Dryden teachers really rock because... " or "I am so thankful for all the teachers at Dryden because..." We look forward to the kind and creative messages you will be sharing with our awesome teachers!

School Supply Packs
It's time to order your 2020-2021 School Supply Packs! We’re thrilled to announce that we have partnered with a new LOCAL company this year, Shane's Kits!
What is staying the same?
Our supplier passes quantity discount savings along to us, so the kits are usually less expensive, more accurate, and more convenient than shopping on your own. And custom name labels for your supplies are included with each pack.
What has changed? You can now ship your kit directly to Dryden AND pay no shipping fee!
If you order by June 12, your kits will be shipped directly to Dryden with no shipping costs. The packs will be distributed to each child's classroom - we'll let you know these details closer to next Fall - but no more struggling to school on the first day with that overflowing backpack!
What else? Mid-summer orders!
If you miss the June 12 deadline, you can still order through much of the summer! Orders placed between June 13 and through August 3 will be delivered to your home. The price for the kits are the same, with a shipping fee of $9.95 per order (not per kit). Kits should arrive within 10-15 business days or sooner.
To order, click here and enter Dryden School code DRY25. Be sure to select the grade your child will be in next year.
Questions? Contact Deb Closs at (773) 510-6563 or deb0429@comcast.net.

Yearbook signature instructions
Since we will not be returning to school this year, we have a new way for kids to sign each other's yearbooks! Your child can send and receive digital signatures to and from friends via the TreeRing website or app. Their friends have the option of adding these signatures to their custom pages. If you do not add the signatures to your child's custom pages they will not print in their yearbook. If you already have photos on your custom pages, you can either resize the photos to add signatures, or you can purchase additional pages. The cost is $0.99 for two additional pages.
To add or send signatures from friends and fellow students:
1. Login into the TreeRing Website (Not App)
2. Click on yearbook and click edit custom pages
3. Add received signatures to that custom page by clicking on the signature button on the right side of the page you are editing.
4. To send a signature, click on signatures, then send and then start typing the student's name. If the student did not purchase a yearbook, their name will not appear.
We have extended the custom page deadline to accommodate this change. Additionally, all yearbooks will be sent directly to your home versus the school. Please complete your custom pages and signatures by April 27th, 2020.
AHCPTA D25 Scholarship Dine Out Fundraiser at Berry Yo
You are invited to the Berry Yo Fundraiser for the 2021 AHCPTA/D25 Scholarship Fund benefiting current D25 students and graduating high school seniors May 7 - 9. Show the flyer or mention the fundraiser. Curbside pick up and carry out is available. Gift card sales are included as well!!
South Middle School PTA
Are you interested in becoming involved in PTA next year at South Middle School? We are currently accepting nominations for PTA Executive Committee, which includes:
- President- Elect
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
Please contact Donna Ekl (donna@eklhq.com) with any questions or nominations.
The PTA at the middle school level involves about only 25% of the work that the grade school involves. A majority of the clubs are student led! This is a great way to have a chance to be involved and get to know the staff at the middle school level!
