Welcome Hillcrest School Families!
This is the first of many school newsletters. It is important to read them through thoroughly. Please see important information as we prepare for the 2023-2024 school year to begin!
Don't forget, our first day of school is Tuesday, September 5th!
Three other important dates to note:
- Wednesday, August 30⋅6pm - “The Night Before Kindergarten” - Virtual Parent Orientation
- Thursday, August 31st 1:30-2:00pm - Incoming Kindergarten Students Visit and Tour
- Thursday, August 31st 2:00pm - Hillcrest School's Home & School Association Playdate located at the First Grade Playground by the lower parking lot.

PowerSchool Parent Portal - PowerSchool Portal para padres
Schedules, bus information, annual updates, babysitter forms for transportation, and more are all accessible to parents and families.
These forms must be completed on the PowerSchool Parent Portal before the first day of school:

#2 Contacts/Health Information
#3 Residency Information
#4 Dismissal Procedures and Transportation
#5 Policy Agreements
Classroom/teacher assignments and bus information will be available on the parent portal at the end of August.

For students who will utilize district bussing:
If you need a babysitter pick-up/drop-off for busing that's different from your home address; You must complete this form by Friday, August 25th in order for your arrangements to begin on the first day of school.
***Please remember to review your child's bus assignment the day before school starts for the most updated information.***

Kindergarten Visitation and Virtual Parent Orientation - VISITA AL KINDERGARTEN Y ORIENTACIÓN VIRTUAL PARA PADRES
Dear Kindergarten Families,
I am thrilled to welcome you to visit our school for a tour on THURSDAY, August 31st at 1:30pm. At this time, we can accommodate you and your child. Siblings are not allowed to attend. Please arrive promptly.
Homeroom teacher assignments will be shared with families through the PowerSchool Parent Portal prior to the visit. There will be cones with our kindergarten teachers names outside. Please line up behind the cone.
Kindergarten Parents are welcome to join a VIRTUAL Parent Q&A titled "The Night Before Kindergarten" on WEDNESDAY, August 30th at 6pm .

BEFORE AND AFTERCARE - CUIDADO ANTES Y DESPUÉS
Before and Aftercare are available for students in grade K-2 through the Morris School District's Community School's Sunrise and Sunset Program.
Registration for Community School Sunrise-Sunset program is now open. Registration closes Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
