Pancake Dinner and Young Author Celebration
Over the past weeks, we have spent countless hours writing our Young Authors' books. We will celebrate this hard work this Wednesday, April 10th from 5-7 p.m. You are welcome to come and celebrate your child's writing-it will be on display in the gym. There will also be a pancake dinner to help support our PTO. I will be serving pancakes from 6:15-7:15p. Come say hello! :)
*I would like to add that our Young Author books are a work in progress; they are not "perfect." In first grade, we really celebrate the craft of writing and the conventions come later. When you come and view your child's book, please celebrate their ideas, character development, dialogue or author's purpose and other growth that you see. Don't let the spelling or handwriting get in the way! As a parent of a first grader, I am constantly reminding myself of these things as well. ;) They are SO proud of these books!

Food Drive Passion Project
Dear TCE Families,
We want to inform you about a food drive we are planning. It is during the week of Pancake Dinner (April 8th through April 12th). We are collecting food for the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank. Items that can be donated include Peanut Butter, Mac & Cheese, Cereal or any non-perishable food items. Students can bring in donations anytime during that week or families can bring items during the Pancake Dinner on April 10th.
