Better Together
Project Extra COVID-19 Survival Guide
Checking in!!
As information comes down the pike about what the school year will look like in the fall, I will let you know what that means for our classroom and schedule. My hope is that it is business as usual but the reality is that it may not. Regardless, I can not wait to have my kids back!!!
Below I will be attaching a couple of things and explaining what to do with them. One is an example of a learning plan that I have created for each of your students unless they just recently got into the program and then that will be created at the beginning of next year.
The second is our yearly review of the program. We have to turn this information into the state and I use it to guide the structure of the program for the next year. The directions will be below
.Finally, I want to thank you for sharing your amazing students with me!! I love all of their talents and amazing creativity. I love their passions and convictions. They keep me on my toes and allow me to continue to challenge myself to be a better educator!!
2019-2020 Project Extra Program Evaluation
One of the things that came from last year's evaluation was to have a scheduled parent-teacher conference. We did that in the fall and unfortunately, we did not have conferences in the spring which I had planned to go over the learning plans with each family.
I also created a presentation to share with all staff to explain the unique needs of gifted students. Although Bush was the only school to have me present, I am hoping that I can get into the other schools this fall. I really think it opened a lot of eyes to your student's needs!!
There are several sections that allow you to make comments and the more information you share the more it allows me to adjust or maintain the makeup of the program. Thank you in advance for your help and guidance to make this a great program!
