Superintendent Barrett Announces Retirement
Dear GJPS families,
After 34 years in education and a great deal of thought and consideration, I have decided to retire as superintendent of the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools on August 1, 2022. I am grateful to all of you for your commitment and support of our work here at Gahanna-Jefferson.
GJPS is the kind of school district where students can find their niche and find their passion. Supported by a dedicated GJPS community, teachers, staff and administrators, our students have excelled in many areas both inside and outside of the classroom. Our students and families appreciate our diversity and value our differences. It is truly impressive.
As the board and community begin a search to hire a new superintendent, I will work to ensure a smooth transition in any way I can.
This was a difficult decision, but I am filled with gratitude for my time at Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools and proud to have been part of this outstanding GJPS community.
Sincerely,
Steve

Goshen Lane Celebrates Holi 2022
Holi is known as the "Festival of Spring" and the "Festival of Colors". The festival signifies the start of spring and good triumphing over evil. It is celebrated by many of our Nepali and Bhutanese families at Goshen Lane and across the district. Thank you Mrs. Velazquez and Mrs. Steiger for the fun celebration and Mr. Donaldson for the awesome video.
