Kaufman Families,

I hope everyone is having a fun and restful summer break. I wanted to take a brief moment to introduce myself to our Kaufman community. My name is Clinton Dulworth (kids call me Mr. D.), and I am the new principal of Kaufman. I'm so excited to join the Kaufman community and look forward to getting to know your children and you as we take this learning journey together. I've been married to my wife, Andrea for 14 years and have 3 girls (Ella 9 years old, Avery 8 years old, and Aria 3 years old.) My two oldest will be Kaufman Cougars next year! I was originally a music education major, but ended up teaching 4th grade my entire teaching career. I've served as an assistant principal at 3 different campuses in Conroe ISD and have been fortunate to work with many amazing children, parents, and teachers along the way. I love Houston sports and I am huge LSU fan (it is my alma mater). I love music and traveling, but most importantly I love working with kids! Below is our first Kaufman PawCast where you can learn a little more about me. I look forward to working with each one of you in the future and can't wait to change the world with our Kaufman Cougars.

Every newsletter will include a new Pawcast that you can listen to at your convenience. Our first editions of the Pawcast will introduce you to some new members of our Kaufman family. This month's edition will feature one of my daughters, Ella a fourth grade Cougar next year, interviewing me. I hope you enjoy the episode as much as we did making it!

Mark your calendars for two fun upcoming events at Kaufman!

We are challenging our Cougars to read over the summer. Students can participate in a series of reading events throughout the summer. If they complete them all and turn in their initialed form at meet the teacher on August 5th, they will be eligible to win a prize from our Olympic drawing that will occur the first week of school!
