How it Happens?
Turf Toe is another name for a sprain of the ligaments around the big toe joint. It is commonly found in outdoor sports like football, soccer, or baseball but can also be affect gymnasts and even dancers. It is caused by jamming the big toe or repeatedly pushing off of the big toe with force.
How can you prevent it?
It can be prevented by playing on grass or a cushioned surface. You can also help prevent it by making sure you get new shoes frequently so that you always have cushioned shoes. Also you can maintain your muscle and core strength this way it is less subject to strain or injury.
