Hawk Happenings

November 9th-26th

Here's What's Happening at Spring Lake...

November is one of my favorite months of school. We have several events coming up that you will want to be aware of:

  • Our Veteran's Day Parade will be held on Thursday morning. See below for detailed information on parade routes and start times. We'd love to have you come out to watch the parade!
  • November 17th is our Educational Support Professionals Day. On this day we honor all of our technicians, planning time teachers, lunch ladies, custodians, secretaries and staff who support the teachers.
  • On November 22nd and 23rd we will be holding our annual Turkey Trot which takes place during lunch recess. Students earn tickets for each lap that they walk/run and the tickets go in a drawing for fun prizes like pumpkin pies, card games and other fun fall items that can be enjoyed by families over Thanksgiving break.
  • On the afternoon of November 23rd we will hold our "Gobble Off" where students will compete to see who is the Top Gobbler at school.
  • Thanksgiving break is scheduled for November 24th - 26th with no school held on those days.

I am so thankful to be able to work with all of the children, staff, parents and patrons of Spring Lake Elementary. I hope you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
