Mrs. Frishe's PreK Class

Week of May 6, 2016

Many Many Thanks

Mrs. Aksamit and I would like to thank all of you for making our Teacher Appreciation Week THE BEST!! We already knew we had the best parents in the whole school but your generosity and thoughtfulness this week really made us feel special. Thank you for all the wonderful gifts but thank you most of all for the gift of allowing us to be in your child's life.

Field Day is Friday

Field Day is finally here - this Friday! If your child ordered a Field Day shirt, we will have them change into their shirts when they get to school. If your child did not order one, it's okay -- just make sure he or she wears a red shirt that day. It makes it much easier to keep our kids together on this fun crazy day when we all look alike.

Make sure your child brings a change of clothes including socks, a towel, and a bottle of water with his or her name on it. Also, please put sunscreen on your child before sending them off that morning. Children may wear a hat for additional protection -- make sure his or her name is in it.

If you are available to join us, we would love to have you help make this a super fun event!!

Smaug's Corner

Smaug is so excited to move into her new and bigger tank. She and I both thank all of you for contributing to her new home. I will be sending you pictures this summer once I have her all set up.

I think she has served a great purpose with our class for learning about living things. We've learned about how to handle her, what she eats, and what she needs. Those of you who know me well know that I am very passionate about animals. I hope that your child develops a love or at the very least respect for animals and being kind to them. They are always welcome to come back and check on Smaug as they (and Smaug) grow up.

PreK Awards Day

Please join us in celebrating the end of our 2015-2016 PreK year with an awards program in the media center on Tuesday, May 24,. A video recapturing some of our favorite moments from the year will begin at 8:30 am with our program beginning around 9:00 am PreK Standard Time (which means give or take a few minutes).

Mrs. Aksamit

Mrs. Aksamit would like to thank everyone for making her birthday so wonderful. She appreciated all of the special gifts and birthday wishes from everyone. She is the hardest working teacher's assistant I know and we would not be as successful as we all are without her!

Year End Meetings

If you've not yet scheduled a year end meeting with me, please do so right away. If none of the dates and times work for you, please let me know and we will work something out. Check for conference times.
