More Information About CES
Annually, Montgomery County Public Schools conducts a central review of all Grade 3 student data to determine their enrichment and acceleration instructional needs in literacy for Grade 4. Enriched instruction for Grade 4 may take place at the local elementary school or at one of the Centers for Enriched Studies (CES) programs. Students who demonstrate a need for enriched and accelerated programming are centrally recommended for literacy enrichment at their local school and were entered in a lottery pool for one of the CES regional seats.
The central review process used multiple criteria and data from the 2021-2022 school year to identify students for enriched instruction. The central review process reviewed Grade 3 students for enriched literacy programming; no application was required.
- Families not wanting to remain in the lottery pool – complete the form here
- Families wanting to file an appeal (note that families in the lottery pool cannot appeal)
- Invited families accept a seat. While anyone can see this link, it has been programed to only allow students with the invited ID to be able to submit the form (https://bit.ly/MCPScesRSVP)
