Wonderful Triton Parents and Guardians,
"Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm." Winston Churchill
Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for reaching the pinnacle of the American football season. Regardless of your team preference, both teams did not get here without an overabundance of enthusiasm, not only for the sport but also for their desire to get to the Super Bowl. For the Buccaneers, the season consisted of two vastly different halves; the first half of the season, their win-loss record was 7-5 and after their bye week, they have maintained a 7-0 record. Players must always overcome failures in order to pursue their goal of reaching the culminating game. Instead of succumbing to loss, teams play each Sunday game with the same enthusiasm as when they started the season because they know where they want to be 15 weeks later.
So it is with us. Life will always deal us losses that sometimes takes our breath away or leave us confused and defeated. Students, we are halfway into Quarter 3 of the school year and some of you may be looking at your grades and are starting to panic or give up. The enthusiasm that you may have displayed in January might be waning. Remember, you are not at the end of the season. Do not throw away your enthusiasm and give up. Find joy in the small things that will help you move forward. Seek help from others who will hopefully envelop you in their enthusiasm of YOU and your success, knowing that you can do this. Enthusiasm will spark you and re-ignite your desire to reach your goals. In actively pursuing enthusiasm, others will want to be a part of it because it is contagious.
As the first progress of Semester 2 on February 26 nears, don't let go of enthusiasm. You got this!
With great enthusiasm, I introduce you to the newest member of the Triton Family, our new assistant principal, Ms. Sophia Gray. She hails from Montgomery High School where she served as their KMMI Video Production program. She will be introduced at the two parent meetings we have this week.
Please make sure that you read the email in its entirety as there are announcements and information that may required you to complete a task.
Let's have an amazing week!
