Memorial Day Holiday, May 29
Students and families, next Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day Holiday! No school on May 29!
Senior Awards Night May 30 at 6:30 in Brogden Hall
Senior Awards Night is May 30 at 6:30 in Brogden Hall. Seniors will also pick up their Graduation tickets after paying off all fines and turning in laptops on May 31 during lunch in the courtyard. Tickets must be picked up by the graduate only.
Senior Scholarship Reporting
Money, money, money, money, money! New Hanover County Schools wants to celebrate and recognize our Seniors for their scholarship earnings during the 2022-2023 school year. Seniors and their families can submit all awarded scholarships using the included link. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdfshMOBMYxl7Fg15jmONI1nUoWK202wTXMSy1FZtXRX9ipDA/viewform Students should report all scholarships and grants awarded even if the award will be declined.
Attendance Appeal Process
Students, according to NHCS Board Policy 4400, a student who misses more than 10 days in a semester shall not be awarded course credit except by determination of the principal or designee upon careful review of the student records. To comply with this policy, students with more than 10 unexcused absences for a course will need to complete a Request for Review form included with this email by June 2 The form will then be reviewed and approved or denied by the NHHS attendance council. Digital Learning & Media Inventory (DLMI)
In order to fulfill NC Legislature session law "§ 115C-102.9 calling for the collection and reporting of data regarding all student access to digital devices and Internet access at home, we need all families to complete a digital survey. Instructions for completing this survey are linked below. If you are not able to complete this survey through your PowerSchool account, please complete the paper copy of the survey and turn it into the main office by May 26. We appreciate your assistance with completing this survey. Again, we must have this survey completed by each family.
End-of-Year and Testing Technology Reminders
Students and parents as we get closer to the end of the school year, there are several technology reminders that we need to consider for EOC exams and turning in devices. Please review this link for these updates. Seniors you will be able to turn in your laptops to the Media Center beginning on Friday, May 26 if it is not needed for an exam.

Athletics Schedule for the Week
No athletic events for the week of May 22-26
We want to congratulate the Men’s 4x1 Relay Team, that took 8th place this Saturday in the State Tournament!
We also want to congratulate the Men’s Baseball Team for their run to the 4th round of the State Playoffs on Saturday! We are proud of all of these Spring Teams!
