SISD Weekly Update

Week of April 20, 2020

Update 4172020

Class of 2020

We know you are missing out on so many traditional and memorable senior moments. We are working on an alternative to a traditional graduation ceremony to celebrate you, what you have meant to Snyder ISD, and to the community. We will discuss any plans with local officials to ensure they are safe for our community and compliant with current orders.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up

We are working out the details of this year's Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up. We will let you know as soon as we have more information. We can't wait to welcome our newest Tigers!

The Tiger's Tale

School may be different, but the commitment of the SHS Publications Team to produce a quality publication remains the same. Click here to read the April edition of the Tiger's Tale.

Mrs. Arnold also wants to remind High School students to order their yearbooks! The current price is $75. On May 1st, the price will increase to $80, so order now! The last day to order is May 29.

Counselor's Corner

Journaling is a proven way to help children and adults work through their emotions. It’s hard to deny that we are living through a unique time in history, and one that your kids will remember throughout their lives. Download the Covid-19 Time Capsule Workbook and allow your child to document their feelings and ideas.

Love and Logic, a well-renowned parenting resource, is offering their Parenting Online class for FREE! This is limited to the month of April. Just click the + sign under quantity and then add to cart. https://www.loveandlogic.com/products/love-and-logic-parenting-online. This is an excellent parenting resource.

School Climate Survey

Did you receive the climate survey in your email inbox last week? It should only take you 5-7 minutes to complete. We know it's been a while since the kids have been on campus, but this survey helps us understand how we can improve. Please reflect on the 2019-2020 school year prior to Spring Break when answering the survey questions. Encourage your child to complete a survey as well. Thank you for your help as we work to improve our campuses. If you have already completed the survey, thank you!

#maskuptigers

What do Dr. Adams, Surgeon General of the United States, and Mrs. Mebane have in common? They both wear hand-made facemasks to help slow the spread of COVID-19!
