In the Company of Kids Performing Arts Center Theater Classes
We're very excited to begin a new school year, meet new friends and welcome old friends back to class. Classes will once again be held at the Maple Grove Arts Center located right on Main Street.
RSVP today on this newsletter by selecting the class/program of your choice. You will then just need to fax, email or mail registration and student profile along with payment. Schedule is further down after you read about our awesome Staff!
Registration is open and classes begin September 28th. Our Theater Classes include: Acting, Improvisation, Character Development, Comedy, Actor's Tools, Script Writing (older students), Creation and Performance of Skits and Plays, etc. Class will end in presentation for family and friends!
Adaptive Theater Class will include many of the same things listed above but will be adapted and or modified to meet the needs of the students enrolled.
So, get ready to have an exciting fun time exploring your creativity and imagination and make new Friends!
Beverages and food are not allowed in the facilities. They are also peanut free environments. Students may be dropped off at their classes and picked up after they are done. If you choose to wait please use the waiting area provided. No cell phones, loud talking etc. please.
Other locations we offer programs include Burnsville, Richfield and St. Louis Park. For schedules on those locations please refer to our website.
STAFF
Bonnie Kaye
Bonnie Kaye, Artistic Director, has been in the Performing Arts field for over 40 years. She has judged numerous dance competitions and her students have gone on to open up their own schools, perform on Broadway and won hundreds of awards. She continues her dedication to the performing arts providing a positive, caring, supportive atmosphere opening young minds to the greatest gift "Creativity."
After seeing the need for performing art programs for those who are differently-abled, she founded "Drama Interaction" which is a non profit 501(c)3. "Finding the gifts and strengths in each and every student through the arts, music, dance and puppetry places the focus on ability rather than disability. She is an Autism Education Professional and sits on the accreditation board for licensing. Bonnie partners with many organizations in the Twin Cities to bring high quality performing arts programs to their clients. Donations are always needed for reduced/free programs in the community. Bonnie continues to expand her Community Outreach Arts Programs to reach more individuals who otherwise may not have the opportunity to experience the ARTS.

Julie Nelson
Julie Nelson has been with In the Company of Kids and Drama Interaction for 7 years. She continues teaching the Homeschool programs in Burnsville, summer camps and also works with our outreach programs. She is experienced in working with a variety of ages and abilities.
Julie has always had her hand in the performing arts. From a child she has had a love for acting, dancing, and singing and went on to study theater at Inver Hills Community College and Makato State University. Julie has written and directed many children's shows or various ages and abilities. She has a deep passion for the theater and loves to help children and adults explore and develop their own unique talents and creativity.
