Big picture

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had the opportunity to have some family fun over the Winter Break and enjoy the spring-like weather that temporarily came to visit. I got the chance to get outside and teach my daughter to ride her bike, and to doing it in December felt a little unusual. I hope everyone had some wonderful memories of their own. Now that we are back in school, it is great to have the building filled again and energized for a new year!

Noteworthy Notes

Important Alternative Learning Days Reminder -

As you are aware, the School Committee voted to implement “Alternative Learning Days” instead of a school cancellation when weather keeps us from physically opening schools.

When school is closed due to weather, you will receive a phone call and an email alerting you to a school closure. The messages will also indicate if we will be implementing an “Alternative Learning Day” (ALD). When there is an ALD you and your children will need to find and complete the ALD learning assignments posted on our website.

Please note, that the district will not be allowed to use this approach in the future if less than 80% of our students do not participate. Please help us make this a success by ensuring your children do their assignments.

Please help us test our system by clicking here and seeing if you can find your children’s assignment page (there will not necessarily be an actual assignment at this time).

If you have questions about the ALD system please read this Frequently Asked Questions document.

The 2018/2019 Mill Pond Student Directory is available for purchase. Please consider placing an order, it comes in quite handy when you need to contact a fellow parent or guardian to organize playdates and afterschool activities with new friends.
