Learn how to support our Transgender and Nonbinary youth with this wonderful guide from Trevor Project. Parents looking for age-appropriate reading material for younger children who are transgender, gender expansive, or simply have a lot of questions, might think that their options are limited. Happily, that’s not the case. The books below each offer a different way to affirm, to learn, and to start important conversations.

Also, did you know that Reed has a GSA Club (Gender & Sexuality Alliance)? This club is a safe and welcoming space for Reed LGBTQ+ students, staff and allies to make friends, play games, and discuss issues that come up in day-to-day life. The club meets Tuesday at lunch. If you missed the club signup, contact Ms. Awalt by sending a message from the school website or a message on schoology.
