HFRCS Newsletter SY 2022-2023
March 14, 2023 - Vol.2 Issue 28
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Yesterday we began the final trimester of the school year. This is a great opportunity to refocus and to encourage your child to do their very best and to finish the year strong. Working closely with your child’s teacher can assist in ensuring that your child is working to their full potential. We are looking for all of our students to have a strong and positive finish to the school year!
Today, our students in grades 3-8 received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. All students gathered in church for a brief prayer service followed by individual confessions. Lent is a good time for all of us to reflect on our own choices and behavior.
Our Lenten service project of collecting one can meals for Nutritional Development Services is in full swing. Cans can be brought into school up until Friday, March 31st. Thank you for your generosity and support.
On Thursday, March 16, our 8th grade students from St. Frances Cabrini Parish will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation from Archbishop Adams. We congratulate our students on marking this most important step in their faith formation and pray for them at this very special time!
This Friday we will celebrate the Feast of St. Patrick by having a $1 dress-down day of wearing green and anything Irish!
Next week, we will be hosting our visiting team from the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. The visiting team will be in our school on Tuesday and Wednesday and will be meeting with various constituencies of our school. We ask everyone to pray for a successful visit and that our school will be granted reaccreditation.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty

Remember to go to Mass this weekend.

Respect your teachers. Put effort into your work. Be friendly and inclusive.
Lenten One-Can Meal Drive
Our SCHOOL GOAL is 400 cans! 2 cans per person will exceed our goal!
Many of the local food cupboards and soup kitchens have seen a swift increase in numbers of families with children who utilize their services. Please see attached document for examples of what we are collecting.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity to the many hungry people in our surrounding communities. As always, we appreciate all you and your family do to support your children, our school and Catholic education as well as those in our community.
Please send in donations by Friday, March 31.
