Teacher Requests
Many of the book wishes made by our teachers have been granted! Keep those requests coming for an ongoing wish list and future purchases.
Katie Woo by Fran Manushkin
Introduce students to writing narratives, opinion pieces, journals, research papers and letters with titles like "Stick to the Facts, Katie," and "What Happens Next, Katie?"

Snowflake Bentley
Third grade students sequenced the events from the book Snowflake Bentley and designed beautiful digital snowflakes
Mischievian Reports
4th grade students read The Mischievians and completed a Google Doc "Mischievian Report" describing the primary mischief-makers in their lives. "The tooth paste snatcher," "The Clumsian" and "The Vanisher" were among the most-wanted mischeivians.
DISCUS Scavenger Hunt
4th graders practiced locating information in South Carolina's Virtual Library with a DISCUS scavenger hunt.
Battle of the Books
4th and 5th grade students trying out for the Battle of the Books Team practice answering questions using the rules of the district-wide competition.
Stand Straight Ella Kate!
3rd graders pose with a life-size model of Ella Kate Ewing after reading the life story of this extraordinary woman who grew to be 8'4" tall.
