In the Clinic with Nurse Santana
Scholars may not carry any kind of medication in their backpacks or purses for any reason at all, including asthma inhalers. If a scholar needs medicine, the medicine must be brought to the clinic by a parent. If the medication requires a prescription, the proper documents must be signed by a physician and also turned in to Nurse Santana before any medication can be distributed. If you have any questions please reach out to me at cynthia.santana@humbleisd.net or call 281-641-2000.

Supporting Learning at Home
As the school year winds down, communicate with your child's teacher: What skills can you work on during the summer to ensure your child is ready for the next grade? Are there suggested summer reading books for your child's grade level? Is there a recommended website or app they can have children visit to gain some additional skills practice? Continuing learning while children are out of school for the summer helps to prevent the "summer slide" and helps children start the new school year feeling more confident.
