"Warm up to a good book!" Display

Students will have the option to create a "mug" or "marshmallow" at home for the display . I will explain the instructions to the students and send home parent letters and templates with those students who want to participate, during their regular library time. Please allow students to bring their finished "mugs" and "marshmallows" to the library in the mornings.

I found some really neat activities that go along with this theme. They are FREE on Teachers Pay Teachers and you are welcome to use them in your classroom!

4th grade library helpers

I am looking for independent and responsible 4th grade students who could help out in the library. I would also like them to be students who are good readers, but don't always read for fun or outside of school.

They would come in the mornings from 7:50-8:00 and at the end of the day from 3:10-3:20. They could also come in during inside recess, if they so choose.

I have a couple of students in mind, but I would like a few more recommendations from 4th grade teachers. Please send me an email with a name or two!

One Book One School

We are in the process of choosing a book for our upcoming One Book One School program. As of now, it looks as though we will start this program near the end of January or the beginning of February. We have committee who is working together to make this program a success.
