Principal Newsletter
From the Desk of Mrs. Riley
November 17, 2022
Dear Parents,
This Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on and show gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed on us. On behalf of the faculty and staff of Our Lady of Good Counsel School, we wish you a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
Heavenly Father, On Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You've done
Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.
For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.
Amen.
Thank you for your constant support and prayers for our school. I encourage you to continue to support our work as we advance our mission to provide a transformative education steeped in academics and faith to our deserving students. There is no greater investment for forming our future saints than a Catholic education!
Please carefully review this week's newsletter for many reminders and updates. We thank you for entrusting your children to us and for the sacrifices you make each day to send your child(ren) to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School.
God's peace,
Mrs. Barbara Riley
Principal

Santa Shoppe 2022
This year's Santa Shoppe will be held on Monday, December 5th during school hours in the gym. All students from grades Pre-K 3 to Grade 8 will be able to Christmas shop for their families and loved ones. We have new and exciting items this year with prices ranging between $1-$10 per gift (most items are $5 or less). Gifts will be wrapped before going home.
The week of November 21st your child will be coming home with a Santa Shoppe envelope along with gift tags. If you would like your child to participate with Santa Shoppe, please fill out each gift tag with the name of the person your child is to buy a gift for along with spending money (CASH ONLY) in the envelope. The envelope and tags should be brought to school on Monday, December 5th, the day of Santa Shoppe. Any unspent money will be returned home. Students may accessorize their uniforms with Santa hats, socks, necklaces, etc. P.I.E. is seeking donations of gift wrap, bows and tape for gift wrapping. A bin for these donations will be placed at the school entrance. Parent volunteers are also needed to assist students with shopping, refilling stock, and wrapping gifts.
