Radon Canisters
Last winter we conducted radon sampling in half of our schools. Now, it’s time to do the other half. In order to have a complete picture of radon levels in your buildings, we’ll need to deploy small black sampling canisters to obtain the missing data.
Our consultant, Field Environmental Consulting, will deploy the canisters during winter break, December 26 and 27. They will then retrieve them March 28 and 29.
We will deploy, tape to the wall, one canister in every room at ground level. Could you please advise staff in those locations to look after the canisters? As you may imagine, we don’t want them touched, moved or removed.
Thank you!

Food For Thought
I came across this article this past weekend and thought it was interesting especially as we are working toward a restorative culture.
