Shakespeare's Hamlet
The drama department has been busy this summer and early fall with rehearsals of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. This production offers something new with gender swapping of traditional roles. We are pleased to introduce seniors Nora Conzemius as Hamlet, Quincy Davis as Ophelia, Ellie Sutter as Laertes, Abby Burbach as Horatio, and Chelsea Klaphake as Rosencrantz. Other roles include seniors Amauri Easley as Claudius and Heidi Mintz as Gertrude and juniors Ben Leflar as Polonius and Ava Fredrickson as Guildenstern, and Kaden Benson as Hamlet Sr.
The cast and crew have been hard at work. Seniors Marissa Hanley as the Stage Manager, Emily Dahm as Scenic Charge Artist, Brenden Rider as Master Carpenter, Grace Singer as Light Board Operator/Props Master, Madeline George as Props Master, and Franklin Wahlstrom as Assistant Master Carpenter. Juniors Goldsmith as Wardrobe Master, Megan Nyholm as Sound Board Operator, and Joseph Diehl as Assistant Scenic Charge Artist.
Many other students round out our list of performers and technicians. Performances are September 30 and October 1 at 7 p.m. and October 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and can be purchased before each show. The box office opens 45 minutes prior to the start of the show. Masks are required for audience members. Join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of our students!

Devious Lick Challenge
As reported in the media, there is a new TikTok challenge going around called the “devious lick” challenge. It involves stealing or vandalizing school property and posting videos about it.
We encourage you to talk to your student about this challenge and about social media in general. While something like this may seem like an innocent prank on the surface, theft and vandalism are criminal activities that can result in thousands of dollars to repair or replace items.
Student Pick Up Reminder:
If you are picking up your student for any reason during the school day, please alert the office ahead of time. We ask that you do this a minimum of two hours prior to their scheduled departure. For your convenience, this can be done by phone 763-504-8800, or by having your student bring a parent/guardian note to the front desk at the beginning of the school day. We truly want to have your student ready and waiting for you, ensure on-time arrival for their appointment, avoid any confusion in the office, and allow AHS to make the appropriate arrangements to have your student released from class in a non-disruptive and timely fashion. Thank you for helping us to serve you and your student/s better.
