Official Diocesan School Safety Framework
Snacks
Kindergarten through 8th-grade snacks should be packed each day. For the safety of our students and faculty, the Snack Shack will be closed until further notice. Snacks should be kept cold in your child(ren)'s lunch box or should not need to be warmed up or refrigerated. Snack will be eaten in the classroom prior to going to morning recess.
Lunch
Students who choose to bring their own lunch will need to pack a sack lunch. Lunches CANNOT be warmed up in a microwave as the Snack Shack is closed. Please make sure that you pack water for your child(ren) or something to drink.
Hot Lunch
Hot lunch will be offered each day. Similar to previous years families will need to order for one day for the entire month. We will be moving this to an electronic form. They will be placed on the website and be sent out via Angel Notes. Due to COVID-19 vendors may change for lunch as they have to be individually wrapped and delivered per CDC guidelines.
Before Care Information
Due to safety and social distancing guidelines we can only accept 50 students per day. A new protocol:
Parents MUST fill out the before school sign up form at least one day before attending. It is first come first serve and will be posted daily on the school website at approximately 12:00 PM on Sundays under the "Parents" tab. You will have to fill out the form for each day and each child that is attending. CLICK HERE to sign up for the before school program on Tuesday, August 18th.

FAQ
When will we find out details if we signed up for Distance Learning?
More details about the roll-out of distance learning will come during next week's Angel Note. Thank you for your patience
If I elect for my child to participate in Distance Learning am I able to change my mind?
No. If you choose to start with Distance Learning your child will remain as a virtual student the entirety of the First Trimester. Prior to the start of the Second Trimester, families will be asked to reassess for reentry at the start of the Second Trimester.
Since the Governor's directive said 3 feet what will Our Lady of Las Vegas be following regarding social distancing?
Out of an abundance of caution, along with the medical guidance of our Restoration Advisory Council, we have determined that it is essential to continue to maintain the 6 feet of distancing – per the CDC Guidelines.
Will the distance learning model include more than one hour of instruction with the teacher each day?
We are in the process of creating protocols and expectations of our distance learners. There will be specific schedules for each grade level and students will be expected to be present for synchronous lessons during normal school hours. Specific information regarding distance learning will be communicated in next week's Angel Note.
Do I have to park to pick up my child at the end of the day?
Yes. Please park and come through the gate. We will not be doing temperature checks as everyone is staying outside, and as adults, we should have no problem adhering to social distancing guidelines and should be wearing a mask. Parents are to stand on their child's number by their door which is placed six feet apart from other numbers.
How is my child going to bring all their supplies on the first day of school- Normally I have to have a wagon to bring it all in?
Students will not be bringing all the items at once. In the "Angel Note: First Week Of School" that will come out in the upcoming weeks, details will be communicated advising parents what to have their students bring on each day during the first week of school. As a parent, I know how the first day of school is exciting and anxiety-ridden under normal circumstances. I will try to make the start of the school year as stress-free as possible for our Angels. Please keep an eye out for future editions.
