A note from Mr. Oostdyke
Hello 3rd and 4th grade parents! This is Ryan Oostdyk, music teacher at Dutton. I am emailing to communicate information about the 3rd and 4th grade music concert this year.
The concert is a musical called "Bring On The Snow!"
Our concert date is Tuesday, November 30 at 7pm in the High School auditorium. (FAC)
Please keep in mind, while we are currently planning on the concert as scheduled, COVID guidelines as we approach will ultimately dictate whether the concert will be able to continue as planned.
In the coming weeks as we prepare the concert, students who want to try out for a speaking part or a solo will take a tryout form, practice the lines from it, and return it the following music class for their entry slip to try out. I will also send another email soon for opportunities to help with props, costumes, and decorations.
To view all of the scripts, the tryout paper (coming soon!), and the mp3 tracks for the songs, please visit my website at dutton.org and click on the concert tab.
If you have any questions, you may email me at oostdykr@calschools.org.
Looking forward to it!
WE NEED YOUR HELP

All families are encouraged to complete the Free/Reduced lunch application (linked below) to see if they qualify. Caledonia Education Foundation
Covid 19 has created increased budgetary demands for our district. The Caledonia Education Foundation is asking you to show that you care by helping us fill in the gap. CAL CARES is a campaign to bring together organizations like the Caledonia Education Foundation, PTOs, teams, local businesses, families, alumni, and other groups to raise $300,000 for the most pressing needs of the Caledonia district.
We are asking the Caledonia community to rally together to support our students, teachers and administrators. We want to be known as a community that stood by our district when the need was great. The future is uncertain, but you can come alongside our families, teachers, and students to help navigate learning for today. Show you care with a gift today! Thank-you!
