44 Instructional Days
I hope you have enjoyed your Spring Break! It will be time to get back to business very soon. Be sure to greet students Monday morning with smiles and open arms. Check in on your students. Some may not have had a wonderful Spring Break. If there are needs, let us know immediately.
The next few weeks need to be stress free. Testing season is upon us but students do not need to see or feel stress. I just think about my own daughter and her test anxieties. Students feel it and see it on us unless we play it cool and let them know it is going to be alright.
I will be setting up a schedule to meet with each class the week of April 2nd-6th. This will be my yearly talk to students about testing. I would like to give all the students the same information about expectations and incentives. We will discuss this more in detail at our TEAM PLC's Monday and Tuesday next week.
Do not forget to mark your calendars for Monday, April 2nd (FACULTY MEETING) This is the testing meeting that all need to attend to receive the testing information needed. **IF you are not able to attend I need to know immediately by email.**
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY NOTEBOOKS
April 20th - Supplemental Salary notebooks due to building administrator for review
May 1st - Supplemental Salary notebooks due to personnel
FIELD TRIP REMINDERS:
Teachers if you have a field trip coming up let the cafeteria know. This way they can make sure there is food available for emergency lunches, if needed.
IF they know that they will need lunches to let Mrs. Dianna know a approximate number needed AT LEAST three weeks BEFORE field trip so she can order food. The cafeteria will only send juice with field trips.
Chaperones: these are the parents that MUST pass the background check and are in charge of students. Mrs. Cheryl has the list of those parents. You CAN NOT approve a parent to be a chaperone until the background check has been cleared. Chaperones can ride the bus.
Volunteers: these are parents that go on the field trip but NOT in charge of students. They CAN NOT ride the bus. They take their own vehicle and met you there. They do not have to have a background check but it is recommended.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
