Senior Year Baby! (Year 4- wow, time flies)
I hope that everyone is enjoying the summer. This is YOUR time to relax (to the edges). Rejuvenation! Recharging of the batteries if you will…....Me Time, well.....actually, YOU time!
Soak up some sun and take a swim; Head out to the zoo, museum, or spa; Read a book or catch a movie; Spend time with family or friends; or perhaps avoid people at all costs. Whatever it is, It’s Your Choice! Personalized Summer Activities!
Just do it soon because the RETURN is inevitable (although secretly, I know that you all can't wait to come back ;0)

Summer Greetings from Jenna
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year, Hawley Friends! I am excited for my new role as your Lead Teacher, and I am looking forward to all of the rewards and challenges (and laughs!) that a new school year brings. I’ve already been hard at work getting ready for you and our students!
This summer, I read the book Kids Deserve It! by Todd Nesloney and Adam Welcome. It was an easy summer read, but filled with inspiring ideas and validated my passion for teaching. I didn’t want to forget the great things I read, so I bought a poster to decorate my new office (see below). My hope is that it reminds me every day to keep kids at the center of all my decisions and work… because they deserve it. I feel so fortunate to work alongside each of you who, I know, believes the same.
Enjoy the sunny days of summer that remain and rest up for our next adventure! I know that when we work together, we can accomplish anything and make this the very best school year yet for our students. And, in true Hawley spirit, we will have fun doing it!
