January 2022

Principal's Message

Beachmont Families,

January 2022 was a particularly challenging month for all of us. COVID continues to impact our lives in a variety of ways, but we will continue to press on. We will continue to follow COVID guidelines outlined by the CDC, DESE, and Revere Board of Health. Please visit the RPS Pandemic Plans and Resources Page: https://www.reverek12.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=2191798&type=d&pREC_ID=2188912 for more information.

Through all of the challenges in January, the Beachmont Community continued to show up and do its best. Students continued to show up each day and do their best to grow as young scholars. Staff continued to show up each day and provided students with educational opportunities to grow both academically and socially. I want to thank all of our families for your continued partnership. It has taken the entire community to ensure that students can continue to come to school and receive the education that they deserve!

On January 12th, we were able to do our monthly "Four Bees Celebration." The theme was "Mega Relaxation." This gave students an opportunity to take a deep breath for roughly 30 minutes out of the school day and participate in some relaxing activities(ie. meditation, yoga, coloring, arts and crafts, etc.). All students went home with some Hot Chocolate to help them get through these cold winter days.

During the week of January 24th, each homeroom had an opportunity to perform a few songs for the Winter Concert. Beachmont Music Teacher, Mr. O'brien, recorded all of these concerts, and videos were shared with families from their child's homeroom teacher. We hope this brought a smile to everyone's face. We will continue to look for creative ways to showcase our students in the months ahead.

As we look forward, we hope the next few months will bring some consistency to our daily lives. We hope that you enjoy a snapshot of a few of the many things that occur at the Beachmont over the course of the month.

It's a great day to be a bee!

Mega Relaxation

On January 12th, students came to school in "comfy clothing" and each grade level had an opportunity for 30 minutes of relaxation. There were a variety of choices that students made in order to relax: yoga, arts and crafts, meditation, having a story read to them, etc.

It was a great opportunity to take a deep breath!
