Peter Lalor lived from 1827-1889.He was the Eureka stockade leader and politician.He was born on 5 February 1827 in the parish of Raheen Queen's county Ireland.He was the son of Patrick Lalor and his wife was Ann nee Dillon.

Peter Laylor was the leader of the miners.He was elected to lead the men in the armed uprising after the meeting on Bakery Hill. The diggers formed a barricade where they were attacked by troops and police on the 3 of December

He had a wife and kids.
