Nuclear Energy

Description
Advantages
Emission-free energy
Nuclear power plants produce no controlled air pollutants, such as sulfur and particulates, or greenhouse gases.
Nuclear energy in place of other energy sources helps to keep the air clean, preserve the Earth's climate, avoid ground-level ozone formation and prevent acid rain.
Of all energy sources, nuclear energy has perhaps the lowest impact on the environment, including water, land, habitat, species, and air resources.
Nuclear energy is the most eco-efficient of all energy sources because it produces the most electricity relative to its environmental impact.
Nuclear power plants were responsible for nearly half of the total voluntary reductions in greenhouse gas emissions reported by U.0S. companies in 1998, the Energy Information Administration reported on January 4, 2000.

Disadvantages
Radioactive waste is a certain type of waste that nuclear reactors produce, but the waste is not being disposed correctly, so then the waste becomes hazardous can leak. Some mixed waste can become a chemical reaction.
Nuclear accidents: many new technologies have been made to prevent disasters don’t happen. Even small radiation leaks can cause devastating effects. The symptoms can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue.
Nuclear Radiation : There are power reactors called breeders. They make plutonium. It is an element that cannot be found in nature, but is also a fissionable. It is also can be very harmful if introduced to the environment. It’s primarily useage is to produce nuclear weapons.
Nuclear energy is a national risk, cause nuclear energy can turn into weapons. We are also becoming more responsible with using the nuclear energy, so we can avoid major ascendants.
- Nuclear energy has an impact on aquatic life because of radioactive wastes. People are trying to made a solution to this problem so it does not keep on excelling. People are making reports that radioactive wastes take a long time to go back to its original form.
