Nike shoe ad
This ad is showing us that Nike shoes are the better brand and that you should buy Nike over your other shoe brands. The intended audience would have to be anyone that is looking for a new style. This ad appeals to pathos, because it tells you that Nike is the best brand there is and why pass over the best brand. The ad is trying to pull people in by telling and showing them how Nike is the best and coolest brand of shoe. This ad exploits the need to buy Nike because it will make you more cool and its the best shoe. In my opinion this ad is very effective. This ad shows you a good picture and ask a good question.
smoking ad
This ad is explaining that smoking is a killer. It is trying to get you to not start smoking or quit smoking and it lists facts about how bad smoking is for you. The intended audience would have to be anyone that is interested in smoking and may want to start or people who are already smoking.1 This ad appeals a little bit to pathos and some to logos. I say this because it has some emotional pictures but it also lists the facts about how smoking is a killer. The ad is pulling people in by giving you images to put in your mind whenever you think about smoking so you wont do it. It also gives you solid hard evidence about how smoking kills people and what it dose to you overtime. This ad exploits the need to not smoke, because it will do bad things to you. In my opinion this ad is effective enough. Why i say that is because occasionally people do not like to read more likely people would rather be drawn towards pictures.
Animal shelter ad
This is an ad about how any abuse to an animal is bad abuse. The intended audience in this ad is everyone. i say that because anyone can abuse animals there is not one specific group. This ad clearly appeals to pathos, because they have a very emotional looking picture of a dog that looks like it has not been fed in a long time. Not to mention but this is a very emotional subject to people. This ad is trying to pull people in i think by using the picture of the underfed dog. This ad exploits the need to end animal abuse or try to help get rid of it. In my opinion this is a greatly effective ad, i say this because usually people like animals for the most part and if they see something about them getting abused or hurt they would usually want to stop it.
