CLASSROOM UPDATES: 4/11/16 - 4/15/16
Reading Unit: Poetry
Focus:
Students are applying knowledge of figurative language and poetic devices by analyzing a variety of poems.
MAP Prep:
Students are working with a variety of texts and writing short-answer responses using evidence from the texts as support.
MATH 8
In Math 8 students will be working in Chapter 2: Two- and Thre-Dimensional Geometry. The focus for this will week will be on working with angles in lines and triangles. There will be a quiz on Thursdays over angles in lines.

ADVANCED MATH
In Advanced Math students will be working in Chapter 9: Polynomials. This week the focus will be on multiplying and factoring polynomials. The Chapter 9 test will be next Wednesday.

SCIENCE
Students are reviewing for MAP testing.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Unit: The Bill of Rights
Essential Questions: What rights and freedoms does the Bill of Rights protect and why are they important?
Students are finishing Chapter 10 and will have a test on Friday, April 15th. Students will be analyzing several scenarios and determining which amendments protect them from the situations described.
