Have you heard of the "turtle on the fence post" saying?
It goes like this: "If you’re walking along a fence and spot a turtle sitting on top of a fence post, you know it didn’t get there by itself.” You know the turtle didn't get there by accident; somebody placed it there!. Think about your current classroom. What kind of predicament do you find yourself in? You have a unique opportunity to consider why you are placed there and how can you use this opportunity to find a way back to the ground?
Take some time today to reminisce about the people that helped, encouraged and shaped your thinking over the years. Who helped you to get to the top of the fence-post? Conversely, who helped you get down? One last thought; if you are still on the ground, is it because you are unwilling to accept the help that others are willing to give?
